The Study Missions are part of an innovative training format designed to offer university students the unique opportunity to deal with today’s most pressing challenges in international relations, going beyond what they have been learning during their academic careers.
TOPIC OF THE COURSE “SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AGENDA 2030”
The Eastwest European Institute, in partnership with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Associazione Diplomatici, is glad to propose the new program Study Mission Rome 2022.
The Study Mission aims to provide university students with an understanding of the relevance of Rome as a diplomatic, cultural, and economic centre through meetings with political actors, cultural representatives, and companies. At the same time, the participants will have the chance to build a network with students coming from all over the world.
Participants will elaborate analysis on such controversial topics as sustainability, Agenda 2030, and climate change.
The stay in Rome will also be a unique opportunity to interact with Rome’s ruling class.
By the end of the program, participants will have gained a deeper understanding of the consequences of environmental problems and how they afflict the Earth.
The structure of the Study Mission is divided as follows:
*Webinars
In the months preceding the simulation, the students will take part in some preparatory webinars for an hour and a half each. Four webinars of 1h30 duration (from 16:30 to 18:00) will be held from October 3rd to 21st.
In this way, students will have the opportunity to have a complete understanding of the international role of Rome and Italy in general, and the importance of Agenda 2030.
Moreover, the knowledge of the functioning of the institutions located in Rome, techniques of public speaking, and negotiation processes will be deepened during the webinars.
Remote activities will be delivered through the Zoom platform.
